How to download an Instagram Reel
Reels are what most people want to keep, and they’re also the thing Instagram makes hardest to save. Paste a Reel’s link below and you get the full video as an MP4, in the same tall format it was posted in.
A note on music: if a Reel uses a track from Instagram’s library, it normally downloads with that audio attached. That’s fine for watching offline. Posting it somewhere else is a different matter, so check with the creator first.

Good to know
- Reels are vertical (9:16), so they fill a phone screen when you play them back.
- Wanting to repost? Ask the creator and tag them if they agree. It costs nothing and avoids awkward messages.
