How to Download All Photos From an Instagram Carousel
A carousel is the Instagram post with a row of dots underneath. You swipe through photos, videos, or a mix of both, and Instagram gives you no way to save them. Here’s how to get every slide, or just the one you want.
The steps
- Open the carousel post and tap the paper-plane icon, then Copy link. On a computer, click the three dots (⋯) and choose Copy link.
- Open the carousel downloader and paste the link.
- Press Download. Every slide appears as its own card, in the same order as on Instagram.
- Press the button under each slide you want to keep.
What you get
Photos arrive as JPG files and videos as MP4. A post can hold up to 20 slides, and you’ll see whatever the post actually contains.
Why not one button for everything?
Each slide has its own button, so you can keep just the recipe card or the one good group photo without grabbing the rest. We don’t bundle them into a zip file. The first time you save several in a row, your browser may ask whether this site can download multiple files. Say Allow.
If a slide is missing
Occasionally Instagram changes how a post is stored. Try again in a minute. If a slide still doesn’t show, send us the link through the contact page and we’ll look into it.
Good to know
- Only public posts work. If you can’t see it logged out, we can’t fetch it.
- For a single photo post, the photo downloader does the same job.
- Photos in a carousel are other people’s work. Save them for yourself, and ask before you share them.
