How to Download IGTV Videos From Instagram
IGTV was Instagram’s home for long videos. The separate app is gone, and long videos now appear as regular video posts, but millions of older videos still live at addresses that contain /tv/. You may also hold a link that someone shared years ago. The IGTV downloader handles all of them.
How to download an IGTV or long Instagram video
- Open the video on Instagram and copy its link. In the app, tap the paper-plane icon and choose Copy link. On a computer, copy the address from the browser bar.
- Go to the IGTV downloader and paste the link in the box.
- Press Download and wait a few seconds.
- Choose the quality. The first button is the highest available.
- Save the MP4. On an iPhone, open it from Safari’s Downloads and tap Share › Save Video.
Why long videos are worth saving
- Offline viewing. A 20-minute tutorial or interview is much easier to watch on a plane or train when it’s on your phone.
- Safe keeping. If you made the video yourself, a copy protects you when it’s edited or taken down.
- Study. Teachers and students keep lectures and demos for notes. Credit the creator when you refer to them.
Tips for big files

If the link doesn’t work
